An introductory level study of the biological concepts of plants as organisms. Course outcomes include demonstrated knowledge of the basic structure and function of plant tissues, plant biochemical pathways, evolution, ecology, productivity and phenology of plants. Field observations and experimentation are used to highlight basic principles. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours per week.
