This course provides the students with a working knowledge of how the federal and state legal framework that regulates pollution and resource extraction, and experience in how target thresholds are propagated. Students will also learn how these policies are enforced by government agencies, especially the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act.
