In this course, students begin the process of learning to provide effective podium leadership for small and large ensembles. This introductory course focuses on the conducting gestures motivated by Music and on score preparation (including proper use of terminology, transpositions, and theoretical analysis). Repertoire for the course is balanced between instrumental and choral literature.
