This course is a seminar on middle school curricular and facility design, and current issues in middle childhood education. The primary focus is on understanding the changing developmental needs of middle school students and how the environment determines the success of teaching strategies for these learners. A 15-hour laboratory experience is required concurrently with this course (EDUC 329).
