The first course in a two-semester sequence in algebra based general physics. The course is designed to provide science and pre-med students with knowledge of the fundamental properties of the Universe. The topics include measurements, space, time, vectors, kinematics of one dimensional and multidimensional motion, dynamics, forces, work and energy, momentum, conservation of energy and momentum, collisions, rotational motion, rotational dynamics, elasticity, fluids, gravitation, oscillations, waves and sound. A weekly laboratory will reinforce the lecture topics. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in Mathematics 141 or WPI. 08/26/2020-12/18/2020 Lecture Monday, Wednesday, Friday 02:00PM - 02:50PM, Kemper-Redd Center, Room 102 (more)...
