This is an introductory Geographic Information System (GIS) course in which students learn the basic theories and techniques of ESRI ArcGIS. Topics include finding and utilizing GIS data; understanding the basics of vector, raster, and tabulated data; and conducting simple spatial analysis. Lecture 3 hours, lab 3 hours per week. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MATH-113 or equivalent.
