This course provides students with an applied knowledge of the science of remote sensing and image interpretation. Students will gain hands-on experience working with satellite and aerial data using ESRI Arcinfo and ERDAS Imagine software packages. Topics include google earth interpretation; importing and enhancing satellite data; georeferencing satellite data; classification of image data; and thermal imagery analysis of satellite images.
