The study of the interaction of organisms with their environment. The students will learn the theory behind ecology processes in terrestrial and aquatic systems and how to use field and lab techniques to assess these processes for themselves. During the first part of the course the students will learn about abiotic conditions and how they impact ecological processes, including biogeochemical cycles at local and global scales. During the second part of the course the students will learn about population and community processes and how humans interact with terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in Biology 211 or Environmental Science 210 . Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours per week, as well as field trips. 01/13/2021-05/06/2021 Lecture Monday, Wednesday, Friday 09:00AM - 09:50AM, Room to be Announced (more)...
