A molecular approach to the study of the cell as a fundamental unit of life. Structural and functional characteristics of cellular components, regulation, signal transduction and metabolism are covered. Special emphasis on current methods of study are introduced in lecture and performed in the laboratory component. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in Biology 210.
