This course is intended to give students and teacher candidates the opportunity to develop skills in planning, assessment, and management for instruction and teaching in the P-12 classroom. Students will develop skills in teaching, classroom management, student assessment and instructional strategies that are part of the instructional experience. Students and teacher candidates will develop a knowledge base in methods that will allow the prospective teacher to choose from a variety of strategies needed to deliver knowledge to a diverse group of learners. A 10-hour laboratory experience is required as part of the course.
